Welcome to the Anthill Guide on how to integrate Campaign Monitor with Anthill!
Integrating Anthill with Campaign Monitor allows you to monitor your marketing campaigns directly from Anthill.
You will require at least a “Basic” Campaign Monitor account and your Anthill details to complete the process.
Linking Accounts
Log in to your Campaign Monitor account.
Navigate to your “Account Settings” in Campaign Monitor by clicking on your name in the top right hand corner.
Once in “Account Settings”, click “API Keys”.
From here you can locate your Client ID and generate an API Key, both of these will be required for configuration.
Now, log in to your Anthill account.
Navigate to the Integrations section, available via the top right hand corner.
Click on “Settings” under the Campaign Monitor logo and enter your credentials.
Select “Update Configuration” to confirm the link.
Once you see the confirmation message, your accounts will be linked.
Before you send a campaign
It is recommended to complete the following items in Campaign Monitor prior to sending your first campaign:
1. Suppression List
If you are moving to Campaign Monitor from a different Email Service Provider, we would strongly recommend transferring your suppression list. More information can be found here:

2. Domain Authentication
Please make sure to authenticate your sending domain with Campaign Monitor, more information can be found here.

Sending your first campaign
To test your email template is displayed as you would like, we recommend sending a live test.
The preview test in Anthill only sends the email from Anthill not via CM so the true test is sending a full end to end send by scheduling a campaign to yourself.
The easiest way to do this is:
- Add yourself as a live customer into your Anthill.
- Create a new Test segment and set the filter to be account > email = your email address.
- Send marketing campaign to accounts must match your Test segment
- Click Test Segment – You should see only one customer record – yours 🙂
- Click schedule send
